On Saturday, November 21, families around the world will join together to help others for the 30th annual Family Volunteer Day. Created in 1991 by Points of Light, Family Volunteer Day is a global event held every year on the Saturday before U.S. Thanksgiving Day to start off the holiday season with acts of service.

This year, the need is greater than ever as communities struggle with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteer projects may look a little different than usual, as many families will complete virtual or socially distanced opportunities, but there are still many ways to get involved.

Visit our Volunteer Center to find a volunteer project that you and your family can undertake on Family Volunteer Day, or anytime. Our center includes a wide range of family-friendly activities that will enable you to give back while spending quality time with your family.
