Heywood Healthcare (including Heywood Hospital, Athol Hospital, Heywood Medical Group and Quabbin Retreat) has been a loyal supporter of Day of Caring, our largest volunteer event at United Way, for years. Not only have they generously sponsored the event for over 10 years, they have also made it possible for many Heywood employees to volunteer at the event. Over the last 5 years, close to 70 employees have volunteered, some participating every year! They worked on landscaping and painting projects at the Gardner Public Schools. They helped a local Gardner church with clean-up and painting. They have participated in meal packaging events in Athol. They worked on trails at Prospect Park in Leominster. They have also supported Athol-Orange Community TV with office work, cleaning and painting.
Day of Caring wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for community partners like Heywood Healthcare. We are incredibly grateful to Heywood Healthcare for their true commitment to supporting their local communities through sponsorship, volunteerism and their other countless philanthropic efforts, like creating food backpacks for local school districts. Thank you Heywood Healthcare!
